2012 IFBB Grand Prix Men’s Physique Pro Contest
With a successful first year at the NPC level, quite a few of the best of the best have turned pro. However, the first foray into the IFBB Pro Men’s Physique contest will be held in Culver City, California on April 14. It will be quite interesting to see which of the best physiques turn up here. 2011 NPC USAs – Three Men’s Physique will turn pro
The 2011 NPC USA’s is shaping up to be the biggest ever, with a record 689 competitors who are going to take the stage. With 24 pro cards at stake, the new Men’s Physique division will get three of those.
For the NPC USAs, there will be 3 height classes. Men Physique A Class will be up to 5’7″. Mens Physique B Class will be over 5’7″ to 5’10″. Mens Physique C Class will be over 5’10″. Each of the class winners in Men’s Physique will become an IFBB Pro.
2012 IFBB Men’s Physique Pro Contest
It is official – the first IFBB Pro Men’s Physique Contest in Southern California (along with Women’s Pro Physique) will be held on April 14, 2012 at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, along with an NPC contest. It will be called the 2012 IFBB Los Angeles Grand Prix! Here is the first official flyer of this contest.
2012 IFBB Los Angeles Men’s Physique Pro Contest
The first IFBB Men’s Physique Pro contest slated for Southern California for 2012 is the 2012 Angels IFBB Pro Los Angeles Pro Grand Prix Men’s and Women’s Physique, presented by Evogen Nutritrion and FLEX Magazine. The contest will be held on February 25, 2012, along with the GNC NPC Amatuer contests (which is a National Qualifier)
The hosts for this event will be IFBB Pro’s Krissy Chin & Bob Cicherillo. Held. It will be interesting to see which top physique pro’s will start the year with a surge.

NPC Men’s Physiques – Thoughts by Isaac Hinds

Isaac Hinds himself is days out from the first NPC Men’s Physique contest in Colorado, at Jeff Taylor’s NPC Northern Colorado contest. Here is what Isaac Hinds wrote about what he thinks about the division.
One of the first big shows of 2011 featured the new division of the NPC, Men’s Physique. Promoter Jon Lindsay wisely chose to add the new division to his popular event, the Muscle Contest. The contest drew 47 physique competitors to the stage, which ended up out numbering the men’s bodybuilding entrants. Now before you die hard bodybuilding fans freak out, don’t worry bodybuilding is not being phased out. Bodybuilding is the backbone of the industry and will continue to survive. Female bodybuilding is going through it’s own changes and we’ll see how things play out with that side of things at the NPC JR USA in May, where the first women’s physique pro cards will be awarded.

2011 NPC Musclecontest Men’s Physique Results
In the first NPC Men’s Physique contest in California, on March 26, in Culver City, California, a huge turnout of 46 competitors came out to compete in this new division in three open classes, and one Master’s Class. Alex Carneiro won the overall, beating out Class B winner Peter Le, and Class A winner Wes Taitano.
